OwnClip is a native macOS screen recorder with an AI editor built in, sold once rather than rented monthly. No subscription means no churn taking back money you already earned, and no trust to burn with the audience you spent years building.

What you are recommending

The demo does the selling.

You are not asking anyone to switch their whole workflow or start another subscription. You are showing them a recording that looks better than the one they would have made, in an app that costs less than one month of what they use now.

The OwnClip editor with cinematic zoom and auto-cut applied to a screen recording

They can see the value in ten seconds

Cinematic zoom follows the cursor and dead air gets cut automatically. It is a visible transformation, which is what makes a demo convert instead of merely inform.

Nothing leaves their Mac

Recording, AI and export all run on the device. That single fact clears the objection that stops people buying screen recorders at work.

One price, and then it is over

$39 for Pro, $99 for Studio, with a free tier that has no time limit. There is no trial to expire and no renewal to regret.

The deal

30% of every sale you send.

One rate across both paid tiers, with nothing to unlock and no volume ladder to climb. Lemon Squeezy tracks the referral and handles the payout, so there is no invoicing between us.

  • A 60-day cookie, so a free-tier download today can still credit you when they upgrade next month.
  • A refund is the only reversal. Nothing here churns, so nothing gets clawed back later.
  • Applications reviewed by a person, usually within the same week.

What one sale pays

Pro

$39 one-time

$11.70

Studio

$99 one-time

$29.70

Paid in full on the first sale. There is no second payment on either tier, for us or for you, which is exactly why the rate can be this high.

Find your angle.

The same app closes for very different reasons depending on who is watching. Pick the audience you actually have and lead with the line that lands for them.

Mac YouTubers and tech reviewers

Record the review in the app you are reviewing.

The strongest proof you can give is footage made with the thing you are recommending. Show the editor doing cinematic zoom on your own cursor and the demo has already sold itself.

Newsletter writers and bloggers

Lead with the price model, not the feature list.

Your readers already have opinions about paying monthly for software they use twice a week. "One-time $39, and it runs on your own Mac" is the sentence that gets forwarded.

Course creators and educators

Put it in the toolkit lesson.

Your students are about to record a lot of screens. Auto-cut pauses and one-click captions save them hours per module, so the recommendation arrives exactly when they need it.

Agencies, consultants and IT teams

Sell the part that survives a security review.

Client recordings never leave the machine and there is no cloud account to provision. Recommend it once inside a team and the whole team buys.

How to promote it

Six formats that work.

Ordered by what converts for a one-time Mac app, not by what is easiest to publish. Each one opens into the asset you would otherwise have to write yourself.

Nobody buys an editor from a screenshot. They buy it the second they watch a messy raw recording turn into something they would publish. A single walkthrough keeps earning for years, because it ranks and it gets embedded.

Beat sheet
0:00 Open on the problem, shown not told. Your own bad take,
a cursor flying around, forty seconds of "umm".

0:30 "Here is what I record with now." Launch OwnClip and
start a real recording, not a staged one.

1:15 Record something from your actual work. Real content
is what makes the demo credible.

2:30 Open the editor. Cinematic zoom, then auto-cut the
pauses. Let the before and after play out. This is
      the moment people decide.

4:00 Captions in one click, then paint a logo out of the
      frame. Two features, thirty seconds.

5:00 Close on the two facts that remove the objection:
the recording never left your Mac, and it is $39 once.

5:30 "Link in the description." Put it on line one, and
pin a comment with the same link.

What does not pay here

  • Coupon, deal and voucher aggregator listings. We do not run discount codes, so these pages only intercept buyers who were already coming.
  • Paid search on the OwnClip brand name or misspellings of it.
  • Dropping the link into comment sections, forums or Reddit threads without context or disclosure.
  • Claiming features the app does not have. Write from your own recording, not from a feature list.
  • Buying through your own link. Self-referred orders are reversed.

Build your links.

Drop in your ID once and take the four links you will actually use. Where you send people matters more than most affiliates think.

Lemon Squeezy shows it on your affiliate dashboard after you are approved.

Home

https://ownclip.io/?aff=your-id

Best for cold audiences. The video hero does the explaining.

Pricing

https://ownclip.io/pricing?aff=your-id

Best for warm audiences who already watched your demo.

Comparison page

https://ownclip.io/vs/loom?aff=your-id

Best for search traffic and "which one should I buy" posts.

Editor guide

https://ownclip.io/guide/editor?aff=your-id

Best when your content is about editing rather than recording.

Any page on ownclip.io works the same way: add ?aff=your-id to the end of it. The referral is remembered for 60 days and follows the visitor all the way to checkout, including a purchase made later from inside the Mac app.

Please disclose the affiliate relationship, for example with #ad. It is required, and it keeps the trust that makes the recommendation work.

The details.

When do I actually get paid?
Lemon Squeezy tracks every referred order and handles the payout. A commission sits as pending until the order clears the refund window, then it moves to confirmed and is paid out on the Lemon Squeezy payout schedule. Your dashboard shows pending and confirmed totals separately at all times.
What happens if a customer refunds?
A refunded order reverses its commission. That is the only clawback that exists here. Because nothing is a subscription, there is no cancellation months later that takes back money you already earned.
Does the free tier earn me anything?
Not on its own, and that is exactly why the 60-day cookie matters. Someone can download the free version, use it for six weeks, then upgrade, and the sale still credits you. Recommending the free tier is a legitimate strategy here, not a wasted click.
Do I earn on Studio as well as Pro?
30% on any order attributed to you. Pro at $39 pays $11.70 and Studio at $99 pays $29.70. Nothing is excluded and there are no tiers to unlock.
How does attribution actually work?
Your link sets a 60-day cookie. Any ownclip.io URL works, so you can send people to a guide page or a comparison post instead of always dropping them on pricing. The referral is carried through to checkout automatically, including when someone buys from inside the Mac app later.
How long does approval take?
Applications are reviewed by a person, usually within the same week. We are looking for one thing: an audience that would genuinely be better off with this app. A small, specific audience beats a large, general one every time.
Do I have to disclose the relationship?
Yes, and it is in your interest as much as ours. A visible #ad or a plain sentence saying the link is affiliate costs you nothing in conversion and protects the trust that makes your recommendation worth anything.
