Shortcut troubleshooting
A recording shortcut does nothing. What should I check?
Another app may already own that key combination, or the shortcut may be switched off. Open OwnClip Settings, choose Hotkeys, and look at the row for that action. If it shows a warning, click it and pick a different combination. Reset puts every shortcut back to its default.
Can I use a shortcut with only Shift or Option?
No. A global shortcut needs Command or Control in it, because Shift and Option alone type characters in other apps. OwnClip also refuses combinations that macOS keeps for itself, such as the screenshot and Spotlight shortcuts.
The editor ignores my letter keys.
The editor leaves every key alone while you are typing in a text field, such as a text overlay or a rename box. Click the video or the timeline first, then use the shortcut.
