1. Pick a blueprint (or start from scratch)Studio

Eight purpose-built blueprints (From Scratch, Resume / CV, Pitch Deck, Lesson, Project Update, Case Study, Workshop, and Product Launch) each seed a proven outline plus a matching theme, aspect ratio, and slide count. Pick Pitch Deck and you land on Company → Problem → Solution → Product → Market → Traction → Business Model → Team → The Ask, structured before you’ve typed a word.

• Blueprint tiles set a starting theme, aspect ratio, and slide count; none of it is locked in
• Switching blueprints resets those defaults, but keeps any screenshots or text you’ve already added
• From Scratch has no fixed outline; AI structures the deck from whatever you bring

2. Add your source materialStudio

Drop screenshots into the grid, paste raw text, or hand it a document: PDF, Word, RTF, Markdown, or plain text. Mix any of them freely, then optionally set a writing voice (Professional, Friendly, Bold, Academic) and an audience. Nothing to add? A blueprint alone still generates a fill-in template deck you can build on from there.

• Screenshots, pasted text, and documents all feed the same outline; order doesn’t matter
• Scanned PDFs with no text layer fall back to on-device Vision OCR automatically
• Writing voice and audience are optional. Leave them at the defaults and Slides still writes a solid draft

3. Review your AI-planned outlineStudio

Before a single slide gets written, Slides reads your sources and drafts an editable outline: one row per planned slide, each with a title, a short gist, and a layout hint. Rename a row, reorder it, delete it, or add a new one. Nothing is written until you tap Create deck, and there’s no timeout on this screen.

• Each outline row expands into one slide, written from that section of your source material
• The layout hint (Bullets, Big number, Quote, Comparison, Steps, Closing) steers, not locks, how the slide gets built
• This is the step to catch a wrong emphasis before AI spends time writing full slide copy

4. Watch your slides get writtenStudio

Tap Create deck and Slides writes each slide, one at a time, revealing them as they finish. Your screenshots get placed automatically wherever a slide talks about what they show. If one slide’s content trips the writer’s safety guardrail, only that slide falls back to a simpler draft while the rest of the deck keeps going.

• Progressive reveal means you can start reading and editing early slides while later ones are still being written
• A screenshot is used on at most one slide; the writer picks whichever slide it best supports
• No on-device model installed? Slides still produces a complete, correctly-structured deck from a deterministic writer

5. Theme, layout & AI visualsStudio

Pick from twelve token-based themes (Midnight, Paper, Indigo, Emerald, Aurora, Sunset, Slate, Champagne, Blueprint, Forest, Coral, Graphite), an aspect ratio, a target slide count, and whether to include speaker notes. Turn on AI background visuals for tasteful, abstract art behind your cover, section, and closing slides.

• Changing the theme re-skins every slide instantly: a pure data change, no regeneration and no waiting
• Each theme carries its own font pairing, accent style, and bullet marker, not just a color swap
• AI visuals cap at 4 images per deck and only touch cover, section, and closing slides, never a content slide

6. Edit every slideStudio

The deck lands as a vertical stack of fully editable slide cards. Retype any title or bullet, add or remove bullet points, jot down speaker notes, regenerate a single slide with ✨, or delete a slide outright; OwnClip won’t let you drop below one. Every exporter reads what’s on these cards, never the raw AI draft.

• Titles, bullets, and notes are three independently editable fields per slide: click and type
• ✨ Regenerate rewrites just that one slide, using its original source section, so there’s no need to redo the whole deck
• The per-slide trash icon disables itself once you’re down to a single slide

7. Export — web, PDF, PowerPoint, or narrated videoStudio

Export as an HTML5 web deck anyone can open in a browser, a PDF with one page per slide, a real editable .pptx, or a narrated MP4, where each slide gets a gentle Ken Burns pan and a voice reading your speaker notes, muxed together at 1080p or 720p. All four read from the exact slide cards you edited.

• Video export narrates from your speaker notes: write them once and get both a talk track and an on-screen reminder
• Web deck is a single self-contained HTML file that needs no server or account; just open it
• Editable .pptx is a real OOXML file, not a flattened export; every text box stays live
